The first circuit to host Formula 1 in the Middle East lost its round this year to Sepang — but its annual programme is wider than a single race.

6.174km, 27 corners and the highest average speed of any street circuit — a profile of the track that left this year’s calendar with no replacement round.

The race runs over the weekend of 4 to 6 December as the final round of the season, and remains the standout event on the region’s calendar.
