The Mitsubishi Outlander topped the UAE best-selling models list in August 2026 with an 8.9% share and an exceptional 623% jump.
A jump of that size rarely reflects a shift in demand alone. It is usually the result of a mix: a new model entering the market, a low comparison base in the corresponding month a year earlier, and possibly a fleet or rental batch.
Behind it come the Toyota Hilux in second and the Nissan Patrol third on a 7% share and 20.6% growth — three models representing what the UAE market actually asks for: a family car, a practical pickup and a large SUV.
Two models from one Chinese marque among the best sellers is a stronger indicator than the marque’s overall share.
Notably, three Chinese models appear on the same list: the Jetour T2 fourth despite a 28.1% fall, the Jetour G700, and the MG 3 up 5.4%.

Having two models from a single Chinese marque among the best sellers in one market is a stronger indicator than the marque’s overall share, because it means demand is not concentrated in one model that succeeded by chance.
